Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education Office in Burpengary, QLD, seeks an experienced educator to lead learning and teaching as a Middle Leader. You will develop curriculum aligned with standards, implement effective pedagogies, supervise teaching quality, analyze data to guide decisions, and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will also manage resources and budgets, contribute to school leadership, and drive professional development for staff, while upholding safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of designated curriculum areas taught in the school.
• Apply contemporary research and data analysis to classroom practice through PD, staff supervision, and induction of new teachers.
• Provide pastoral care for staff in the designated curriculum areas.
• Coordinate and develop work programs aligned with national, state, and local requirements.
• Stay current with curriculum developments and support staff learning through reading and research.
• Manage assessment, moderation, and reporting processes, including accurate record-keeping.
• Supervise teaching quality through planning, moderation, classroom observation, and reflective practice.
• Monitor student learning outcomes using performance data and implement interventions.
• Contribute to school leadership through participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Manage financial and material resources, including budget planning and expenditure.

• Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + Middle Leader Allowance (Tier 3.2) + 12.75% Super

This is a continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Middle Leader position including Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2029). Two subsequent three-year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Leading the coordination of designated curriculum areas taught in the school
