Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Leading Hand / Driver for our Lavington Plant, near Albury-Wodonga. You will drive and deliver quarry products, provide frontline leadership to the driving crew, and help maintain a safe, efficient operation on a full-time, five-day schedule with occasional Saturday work.

The role requires an HC licence (truck and dog experience preferred) and a strong safety focus. Construction/White Card and good communication with customers are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong safety mindset and knowledge of Chain of Responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate reliable equipment for quarry deliveries.

• Coordinate workloads and operational requirements with the Plant Manager.
• Support achieving operational and safety objectives and maintain quality standards.

Leading Hand / Driver - Lavington, NSW

Heidelberg Materials Australia are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional Leading Hand / Driver for our Lavington Plant, located in Albury-Wodonga on the NSW/Victoria border . Reporting to the Plant Manager, this hands-on role combines driving responsibilities with day-to-day operational leadership, supporting the team to safely and efficiently deliver products to our customers.

A HC licence is required, with truck and dog experience preferred. This is a full-time role, which will see you working a 5-day week, with rostered Saturday work according to business needs.

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the driving team

• Assist with coordinating workloads and operational requirements

• Have a good understanding of the Transport Industry and Chain of Responsibility
• Can effectively communicate with team members and customers
