Job summary

Programmed Skilled Workforce are seeking reliable Forklift Labourers for a busy timber mill in Fyshwick, Canberra. This ongoing casual role offers full-time hours (38 per week) with potential for permanency for the right candidate, working 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.

You will operate a forklift, assist with production line duties, stack and strap timber, and help keep the site safe and tidy. Applicants must hold a current forklift licence, have timber mill or heavy industrial experience

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Licence (essential).
• Experience in timber mill/manufacturing or heavy industrial environment (preferred).
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift to move timber products safely around site.
• Assisting with production line duties.
• Stacking, sorting and strapping timber.
• Manual handling and repetitive lifting.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Supporting yard and dispatch teams as required.
