Horner Recruitment Ltd in Hallam, VIC is seeking an experienced Timber CNC Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing team producing acoustic timber components for construction. You’ll operate and set up CNC machinery, read drawings and hit production targets with precision and safety in mind.

This casual role offers weekday hours, on-the-job training, a clean, modern facility and a genuine temp-to-perm pathway for reliable, skilled machinists.

Qualificações

• 2-3 years CNC machining experience, preferably in timber manufacturing.
• Experience programming and operating CNC routers; Heian CNC Router experience highly regarded.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret measurements accurately.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, machine setup and machining processes.
• Experience with woodworking machinery and timber component assembly.

Responsabilidades

• Set up, program and operate CNC routers and woodworking machinery.
• Interpret technical drawings, plans and production specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds and machining settings.
• Load materials, secure workpieces and monitor machining operations.
• Adjust machine settings and programs to achieve accurate cuts and finishes.
• Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure components meet specifications.
• Identify machining issues, troubleshoot faults and report equipment problems.
• Complete routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
• Monitor material usage, minimise waste and maintain efficient production flow.
