Job summary

Swift Equipment Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Yard/Delivery Driver to safely operate a Twin Steer Tilt Tray and ensure timely deliveries across the region. You will handle loading/unloading, perform routine vehicle checks, and liaise with clients to coordinate efficient service.

The role requires an HR licence with at least 1 year of tilt truck experience, strong safety awareness, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Must hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence and have at least 1 year of tilt truck or similar vehicle experience.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with a diverse client base.
Excellent attention to safety and good communication under pressure.
Australian work rights are required for this position.

Responsibilities

Operate tilt truck safely and in compliance with traffic laws.
Load and unload equipment (Elevated Work Platforms) at client sites using appropriate handling gear.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
Maintain accurate delivery, route, and vehicle usage records.
Provide excellent customer service and coordinate efficient deliveries with clients.
Conduct pre-start checks and keep the vehicle in good condition.
Assist with post-hire inspections, light maintenance, and ad-hoc workshop duties.
Assist with assembling trailers for new sales.
