Job summary

Vertiv in Melbourne is seeking a Commissioning Technician - Thermal to join our high-performing team. You will own the full commissioning cycle for CDU, CRAC, CRAH, FWU, and TWU units across large-scale environments, including Tier 1 data centres.

Reporting to the Service Operations Manager – Start Up Services, ANZ, the role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and delivering reliable thermal infrastructure. Ongoing Vertiv training and a company vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven commissioning and/or service technician experience within the air conditioning or precision cooling industry.
• Strong technical knowledge across Data Centres, Telecommunications, Commercial, and Industrial environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines on large-scale sites.
• Solid understanding of thermal controls and networking systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Learning agility and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites and maintain a valid Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning process from start to finish for CDU, CRAC, CRAH, FWU and TWU units.
• Lead L2, L3 and L4 commissioning tasks on Tier 1 Data Centre sites.
• Support the Service Team with maintenance and time & material works.
• Build trusted relationships with customers through professional, solutions-focused interactions.
• Participate in ongoing training across Vertiv technologies.
