Job summary

Curamoir Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Therapeutic Counsellor to provide clinical and therapeutic support to young people aged 12 to 25. You will deliver evidence-informed interventions, conduct assessments, support mental health, wellbeing, and harm minimisation initiatives within a multidisciplinary team.

This varied role requires 3 days in Cessnock and 2 in Maitland, with flexible working arrangements, ongoing professional development and supervision in a youth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Ter tiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing with full AHPRA / AASW registration (Social Workers require mental health credentialing).
• Demonstrated experience working with youth experiencing mental health concerns.
• Knowledge of mental health assessments and support plans.
• Current driver’s license, Working with Children Check, First Aid, and police check.
• Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience in mental health or counselling.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and therapeutic support to young people across a continuum of care.

You will deliver evidence-informed interventions, conduct assessments, and support mental health, wellbeing, and harm minimisation initiatives. Working across a continuum of care, you'll assist in developing tailored care plans, support engagement, and facilitate referrals to ensure young people access the appropriate services they need.

Requirements:
