Job summary

A children’s care organisation in Norfolk is seeking a Therapeutic Care Worker to safeguard and promote the welfare of children aged 5 to 10 years. The role involves working within a supportive team to develop nurturing relationships and meet the overall needs of the children. Earthsea House, Honingham, Norfolk provides placements for up to ten children aged between 5 to 10 years on admission.

Childhood First is a teaching organisation. We encourage and facilitate the learning of our team by offering opportunities to undertake further psychotherapeutic and management training, leading to a range of academic and professional qualifications.

Experience of working with children therapeutically or in a residential setting is desirable; however, we are able to support and train suitable candidates without experience. The role entails safeguarding and promoting the welfare and well‑being of children and young people to develop to their full potential. This is accomplished through working as part of a team to develop safe, supportive and nurturing relationships with children and working with external stakeholders / partners to meet the overall needs of the children placed at the home.
