Job summary

Village Roadshow Ltd is seeking a Security Officer at Movie World, Oxenford on the Gold Coast to patrol and protect guests, team members, and attractions. You’ll help manage access, respond to incidents, and support park operations in a fast-paced entertainment setting.

The role offers part-time and casual fixed-term opportunities with shifts including nights, weekends and school holidays, and provides opportunities to develop skills in security and guest safety within a major theme park group.

Qualifications

• A current Unarmed Security License (including Provide First Aid, Monitoring and Crowd Control modules).
• Blue Card is essential (Please be advised that the cost of a Blue Card is currently $108.30)
• RSA certificate (essential).
• A current unrestricted Driver’s License.
• A Security Monitoring qualification will be highly regarded.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Availability to work any day including nights, weekends and school holidays.
• A willingness to obtain Provide Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (we’ll assist with booking and will cover the cost!)

Responsibilities

• Stay Alert - Patrol our properties to ensure the safety of guests, team members, and assets.
• Keep things moving - Manage access control for visitors and contractors, including gatehouse operations, issuing of keys to correct persons and vehicle checks
• Take charge - Responding to incidents and provide assistance to Park Supervisors and Managers as required
• Keep everyone safe and happy - Ensure safety of team members and guests and provide conflict resolution
• Be calm under pressure - Handle emergency procedures and act as the communication point for the Emergency Response Team
