Job summary

Eastern Health is seeking a part-time Theatre Technician to join their team in Maroondah Theatres. You will work in a diverse team, providing quality care in a supportive environment while managing responsibilities during rotating rosters.

About the role

Maroondah Operating Suite has 4 Theatres which provide varying speialities including but not limited to Reconstructive Surgery, General Surgery and Breast/Endocrine. The successful applicant will work co-hesively with the Multi-discplinary Team providing excellent care for our patients. We provide a Monday-Friday service with after hours on call and reduced capacity at the weekends.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Minimum of 24 months as a Grade 3 or 36 months as a Grade 4
  • Certification IV in Operating Theatre Technician Support (HLT47515)
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high-quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice) . Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
