Job summary

Aurec is seeking an EL1 Test Lead to join a Federal Government IT program in Canberra. You will lead critical software testing across complex portfolios, ensuring outcomes meet scope, schedule, cost and quality targets.

The role covers test planning, SME guidance, defect management, and UAT support, with a focus on test automation and AI-enabled testing. Flexible hybrid work arrangements apply to a 12-month contract with extension potential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise-level software testing within Agile environments.
• Hands-on with Jira, Xray, Salesforce CRM and test automation.
• Experience applying AI testing tools to improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end test delivery across vendors and internal teams.
• Serve as Testing SME, leading test planning, design, data prep and execution.
• Lead defect triage, risk/issue escalation, and progress reporting to leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional testing activities and support UAT.
• Drive continuous improvement with test automation and AI tooling.
