Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Test Analyst (NV1 Clearance) to drive testing across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. You will design and maintain automated UI and API tests, and ensure tests run within AMSA's CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications (Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse) and their business processes.
• Experience UI, functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing across web and enterprise apps.
• Strong test automation experience covering UI regression and API/integration testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency with VS Code, Azure DevOps, source control, defect/test management, and SDLC/Agile practices.
• Ability to move between projects, technologies, and teams.
• ISTQB Automation Certification or similar.
• Experience testing Dynamics 365/Dataverse/Power Platform and Power BI in depth.
• Experience using Jira or similar for test management alongside Azure DevOps.

Job Description

FunctionalAutomation Tester (character limit didn't allow this full title) The Functional Automation Tester is responsible for delivering manual andautomated testing activities to support AMSA's digital transformationinitiatives. Working within AMSA's Testing Practice, the role focuses ontesting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications — includingPower Pages, Power Apps, and Dataverse-based solutions — and their associatedbusiness processes, to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability ofbusiness solutions.

Keyduties and responsibilities

The rolerequires the ability to quickly understand new business processes,applications, and technologies, while effectively managing testing activitiesacross multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities. The successfulcandidate will be expected to become productive within a short onboardingperiod, work independently with minimal supervision, and contribute to ahigh-performing testing team.

A keyaspect of the role is the design, development, execution, and maintenance ofautomated regression tests — spanning both UI and API/integration layers —alongside manual testing activities, and ensuring these tests run as part ofAMSA's CI/CD delivery pipelines rather than purely on demand. The positionrequires strong UI and API testing experience and a solid working knowledge ofmodern testing and development tools to support the delivery of high-qualitybusiness outcomes.

• 1. Demonstrated experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/orPower Platform applications (Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse) and theirassociated business processes, including the ability to analyserequirements, design test scenarios, execute tests, manage defects, andsupport end-to-end business process validation.
• 2. Demonstrated experience performing UI, functional, integration,system, regression, and user acceptance testing across web-based andenterprise applications, with a strong understanding of testingmethodologies and best practices.
• 3. Strong experience in test automation and modern testing tools,covering both: * UI regression testing — design, development, execution,and maintenance of automated UI test suites for enterprise applications,particularly Dynamics 365/Power Platform, using Playwright, Selenium,EasyRepro, or similar automation frameworks; and * API/integration testing— automating validation of backend services and integrations (e.g., APIManagement-fronted APIs, Dataverse plugins/custom APIs, authenticationflows) using tools such as Postman/Newman, REST Assured, or Playwright'sAPI testing capabilities.
• 4. Demonstrated experience integrating automated test suites intoCI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), so tests execute automatically as part ofbuild and release processes rather than solely on manual trigger.
• 5. Demonstrated proficiency with Visual Studio Code (VS Code),Azure DevOps, source control, defect management, and test management andreporting practices. Demonstrated understanding of Software DevelopmentLifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile delivery methodologies, includingexperience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• 6. Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility, with the ability tomove between projects, technologies, testing phases, teams, and businessdomains as organisational priorities change.
