Job summary

BLACKROC Recruitment partners with a Queensland Government agency to recruit a Test Analyst for a role focused on ensuring defect-free changes to a critical Appian-based compliance platform. You will contribute to testing governance and shape testing practices across the ICT environment.

Hybrid Brisbane work arrangement (up to 2 days WFH) on an initial 6-month contract with 2 x 6-month extensions. Requires 5+ years in test development including Appian testing and extensive Jira/Confluence/Xray

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional test development experience.
• Senior-level testing across regression, system, integration and UAT.
• Proven ability to build comprehensive manual and automated test cases.
• Significant senior-level testing experience on a tier 1 workflow platform such as Appian.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Xray.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to comprehensive test strategies aligned with business and technical expectations and timelines.
• Coordinate, manage and perform manual and automated testing, including: Functional and non-functional, System and integration, Regression and UAT.
• Develop comprehensive test cases using both manual and automated methods.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers and business analysts to resolve issues and integrate testing into delivery.
• Work within and contribute to automated testing frameworks, driving continuous improvement and best practice.
• Help develop systems, practices and processes that lift testing governance.

Role Purpose

You’ll join a delivery team responsible for enhancing and stabilising a business-critical compliance platform built on Appian. Testing demand is growing, so you’ll make sure every change is defect-free and ready for production. You’ll also help shape the testing practices and governance used across the wider ICT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to comprehensive test strategies aligned with business and technical expectations and timelines
