Job summary

Ballarat Grammar is seeking a proactive Library Services professional to support the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools in a vibrant learning environment. Based mainly in the Middle and Senior School Library, you will manage print and digital resources, assist staff and students, and help maintain welcoming, well-organised spaces that foster reading and curiosity.

Experience in libraries or schools, a love of literature, and strong IT and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working either in a Library environment or School setting.
• Passion for literature and fostering a love of reading.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to display compassion, patience and flexibility.
• Well-developed prioritisation skills, including ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent IT skills, including strong database skills, library management systems and good visual digital platform design skills.

Responsibilities

• Based primarily in the Middle and Senior School Library, you will manage print and digital resources and support students and staff.
• Deliver high-quality library services and contribute to a welcoming, well-organised space that inspires reading and lifelong learning.
• Collaborate with staff to support teaching and learning across Junior, Middle and Senior Schools.
