Job summary

A leading not-for-profit housing provider in Longreach is seeking a compassionate Tenancy Management Officer to support residents in maintaining secure tenancies. In this part-time role, you will guide tenants throughout their housing journey, handle tenancy documentation, and collaborate with community partners to address tenant needs. The ideal candidate must hold either a Real Estate Salesperson Certificate or a Certificate IV in Community Services, along with strong relationship-building and organizational skills.

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Tenancy Management Officer to join our Community Housing Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll help residents maintain secure and sustainable tenancies, working closely with tenants, support services and community partners to deliver respectful, person-centred housing solutions that make a lasting difference.

What will a typical day look like?
  • Provide empathetic support to residents throughout their housing journey
  • Manage all aspects of tenancy – from allocations and inspections to documentation and exit planning
  • Collaborate with support providers to address complex needs and promote tenancy sustainability.
  • Monitor rent payments and manage arrears with fairness and consistency.
  • Build strong partnerships with external agencies and safety networks
  • Contribute to service improvements that align with our strategic goals.
Mandatory Requirements :
  • Real Estate Salesperson Certificate or Certificate IV in Community Services and relevant experience.

  • Full COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
  • Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
