Job summary

Ten Tops is seeking a retail assistant to cover all operational aspects of the store. You will handle cash, assist with merchandising, maintain the assigned area, and deliver exceptional customer service through personal contact with customers.

You’ll process deliveries, manage invoicing paperwork, and ensure stock is accurately checked off to invoices. The role involves standing, frequent cash register use, lifting up to 10 kg, climbing ladders, and using stock trolleys.

Essential Job Functions

• Stand entire shift
• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 10kg and up to a height of 1.5-3m
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
• Frequent use of stock trolleys, pallet jacks for the moving of stock
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend and stoop, including in stock room and on the sales floor
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers and staff on telephone and face-to-face in the store. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
