Position Descriptor

Parafield Gardens Primary School is looking for a full time teacher to fill the position of Junior Primary Special Class Teacher. The successful applicant will have a confident understanding of a range of disabilities and impairments and how to cater for this diverse range of needs through inclusive practices and trauma informed practice. Working within a small class size of 8 students, alongside a full time SSO, the successful applicant will be supported by ongoing professional development, positive behaviour for learning across the school site and collaborative planning in professional teams.

• How do you build positive relationships with learners and their families to ensure a sense of belonging, strong connections between home and school and a shared understanding of the importance of learning?
• Describe a time you worked collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching practice resulting in quality learner outcomes.
