Job summary

Alternaleaf, an Australia-based 100% remote telehealth clinic, is seeking AHPRA-registered Medical Practitioners to deliver telehealth consultations across a wide range of presentations and ages.

You’ll work with our RN and clinical support teams, undertake clinical assessments, prescribe (S4 & S8), and ensure compliant documentation. Flexible shifts and training are provided.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent with unrestricted AHPRA registration (PGY4 minimum).
• Strong clinical judgement with harm-reduction focus.
• Familiar with privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulations, and medico-legal duties.
• Comfort with telehealth platforms and digital documentation.

Job Description

Join our growing telehealth team and make a real impact in patients’ lives every day. We are looking for AHPRA-registered Medical Practitioners who are confident consulting across a wide range of presentations and age groups.

Scheduling & Availability

• We are specifically seeking doctors available to commence from January and February 2027 onwards.
• Flexibility to support shifts Monday - Friday between 9am-9pm AEDT
• Min weekly commitment: 15 hours per week.
• Training: Must be available during core business hours, Monday to Friday to complete our comprehensive training program

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering high-quality telehealth consultations to a diverse patient base.
• Conducting clinical assessments, prescribing (S4 & S8), and managing follow-up care.
• Collaborating with our RN and clinical support teams to optimise the patient journey.
• Navigating modern digital tools to maintain accurate, compliant documentation and efficient care.

Remuneration:

$60 per consult (averaging 4–6 consults per hour).

• Qualifications - MBBS (or equivalent) + unrestricted AHPRA registration (PGY4 minimum).
• Clinical Excellence - Adept at delivering high-quality care in 10-minute consults, with strong clinical judgment and a harm-reduction focus.
• Compliance Expertise - Familiar with privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulations, and medico-legal duties.
• Digital Fluency - Capable of seamlessly navigating multiple platforms while maintaining sharp, accurate documentation.
