Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and commission telecommunications systems and networks.
• Integrate the site and perform the call test.
• Deliver and produce engineering project proposals to determine efficiency, reliability and compatibility with existing systems, data and network.
• Evaluate and procure new products and services from vendors.
• Ensure regulations for use of telecommunications equipment are assessed and reflected in design and plans.
• Ensure best practice design and configurations of telecommunications equipment to deliver required performance.
• Define, specify and procure equipment and products as needed.
• Identify risks and improve existing systems within design plans.
• Prepare documentation to ensure integrity of engineering plans and file paperwork per client specifications.

Job Description

Phillip Riley are looking for an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our team.

• Design, configure and commission telecommunications system and networks.
• Integrate the site and perform the call test.
• Deliver and produce engineering project proposals to Determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems, data and network.
• Evaluating and procuring new products and services from vendors.
• Ensure regulations for use of telecommunications equipment is clearly assessed and is accurately translated in the design and plans.
• Through editing, design, or review, ensure best practice design and configurations of relevant telecommunications equipment, including hardware and software aspects of each design to deliver the necessary level of performance of each installation.
• As required define, specify and seek procurement of equipment and products.
• Identify risks and existing problems with the telecommunication systems and incorporate improvements where applicable into the design of all plans.
• Develop and produce the necessary documentation to deliver integrity of the engineering plans, including filing all paperwork as outlined in client specification requirements. File documents for approval.
