Qualifications

• Experience in risk, governance, assurance or related discipline.
• Understanding of risk management principles and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with risk assessment and trend analysis.
• Experience preparing risk reports and governance documentation.
• Experience coordinating risk activities and maintaining evidence.
• Exposure to compliance planning and governance activities.

Responsibilities

• Support technology risk and compliance activities in line with risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse risk information to identify trends, emerging risks and areas for improvement.
• Assess risk health, risk hygiene and control effectiveness.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards and governance documentation.
• Coordinate risk activities, gather evidence and track actions to completion.
• Support compliance planning and monitoring of obligations; maintain risk records.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues and delays.
• Improve risk processes, reporting and governance practices.
• Build strong relationships across Technology, Risk and Compliance teams.

The Role:

We are on the lookout for a Risk & Compliance Analyst to join a large, well-established financial services organisation based in Brisbane.

This is an opportunity for a risk and governance professional to contribute to technology risk management, strengthen reporting and controls, and support effective risk and compliance practices within a regulated environment.

You’ll bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work across stakeholders to identify risks, develop meaningful insights and ensure key activities and actions are managed effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support technology risk and compliance activities in line with risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.


• Analyse risk information to identify trends, emerging risks and areas for improvement.


• Assess risk health, risk hygiene and control effectiveness.


• Prepare risk reports, dashboards and governance documentation.


• Coordinate risk activities, gather evidence and track actions to completion.


• Support compliance planning and monitoring of obligations.
  Maintain accurate risk records, decisions and supporting evidence.


• Identify and escalation risks, issues and delays.


• Improve risk processes, reporting and governance practices.


• Build strong relationships across Technology, Risk and Compliance teams.

Key Skills Required:

• Experience in risk, governance, assurance, audit, technology or a related discipline.


• Understanding of risk management principles, controls and governance frameworks.


• Strong analytical skills, including risk assessment, trend analysis and control effectiveness.


• Experience preparing risk reports, dashboards and governance documentation.


• Experience coordinating risk activities, tracking actions and maintaining supporting evidence.


• Experience assessing risk health, risk hygiene and control effectiveness


• Experience working with GRC platforms
