About the role:
The Rail Maintenance team is currently seeking a Technician Perway Welder to join them on a 14 days on, 14 days off FIFO roster from Perth to the Roy Hill mine. Reporting to the Supervisor Turnout Maintenance, you will be responsible for carrying out the specialist weld repairs of worn and damaged rail and turnout components across the Hancock Iron Ore rail network.
You’ll assess defects, prepare the affected area, and execute the work to restore the required rail profile. You’ll also check repair quality, complete welding records and work with the rail maintenance crew to ensure the track is safe for the passage of trains.
