Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Muswellbrook is seeking a Field Service Diesel Mechanic to deliver on-site service, breakdown and preventative maintenance for heavy diesel engines in mining applications. The role involves travel as a field technician and working with Cummins training.

You will join a team focused on delivering high-quality service to mining customers, with a flexible 5 on 4 off schedule, mine site allowances, and a tool of trade vehicle.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification for Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel.
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in service and maintenance of heavy diesel products and mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a first-class service to mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician.
• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks on heavy diesel equipment.
• Provide support for Tier 4 HHP engines after Cummins training.

We are looking for talented Field Service Diesel Mechanics to join our team in the Hunter region. Based at our Muswellbrook branch, our team specialises in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across high horsepower mining and industrial applications.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Deliver a first-class service to our mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician

• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks

• Deliver support for our new Tier 4 HHP engines, the most advanced HHP product on the market following fully Cummins technical training

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Relevant trade qualification (Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel)

• A valid driver’s license

• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, engines and similar applications is preferred

5 on / 4 off day/night shift
