Job summary

South32's Worsley Alumina site in Western Australia offers a permanent Technician Electrical Refrigeration role within the Maintenance team. You’ll perform specialist refrigeration and HVAC maintenance across a large industrial operation, ensuring asset safety, reliability and performance.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, with no on-site accommodation; live within an hour’s drive of Collie is preferred. WA licences and SAP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with a current Refrigerant Handling Licence.
• Hold a WA Electrical Workers Licence.
• Experience maintaining industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability across electrical and refrigeration equipment.
• Experience using SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Worsley Alumina, we're seeking a skilled Technician Electrical Refrigeration to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you'll provide specialist refrigeration and HVAC maintenance support across a large-scale industrial operation, helping to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of critical plant assets.

This is a Permanent role, 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday roster.

Our Worsley Refinery is a short drive from communities such as Collie (20 Minutes) & Bunbury (45 Minutes). Candidates should ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie as there is no accommodation on site.

Technician Electrical Refrigeration, you will be responsible for:

• Executing planned and breakdown maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Conducting fault finding, testing and diagnostics on electrical and refrigeration equipment.
• Supporting asset reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and work history in SAP.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Trade qualified in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with a current Refrigerant Handling Licence.
• Hold a WA Electrical Workers Licence.
• Experience maintaining industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability across electrical and refrigeration equipment.
• Experience using SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
