Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Technical Training Manager to own the development and implementation of a new Full-Time Training Team for Data Center Operations. You will lead a team of technical trainers, establish standardized training processes, and drive continuous improvement to training programs across DCEO, DCO, ID, Decom, and Logistics.

You will partner with stakeholders, measure training impact, and leverage AI and agile methods to deliver world-class learning

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
  • 2+ years of direct people management, including performance management and employee development experience
  • 4+ years of training, technical instruction, or maintenance leadership capacity experience
  • 4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
  • 4+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
  • 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Responsibilities

  • Manage the training programs for Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO), Data Center Operations (DCO), Infrastructure Delivery (ID), Decommissioning, and Logistics.
  • Implement standardized training processes that adapt to audience needs.
  • Create and track performance metrics for training effectiveness.
  • Establish communication channels between Full Time Training Team (FTT) and stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation through AI technology and agile methodologies.
  • Support the design comprehensive learning materials including exercises, tutorials, and assessments.
  • Measure and report training program impact.
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time

AWS Data Center Operations is seeking an innovative, customer-obsessed Technical Training Manager to own the development and implementation of a new Full-Time Training Team (FTT) for Data Center Operations. As the Technical Training Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical trainers to implement Data Center Operations initial training, maintain lab equipment, and ensure continuous improvement to the Data Center Operations training programs.

Basic Qualifications
