As a Scientific Sales Specialist, you will be the face of the genomics portfolio, building and nurturing relationships with customers across many areas, including academia, research, hospitals, and private pathology laboratory sectors. You will manage existing accounts, develop new business opportunities, and provide technical knowledge to offer tailored solutions. This role is ideal for someone eager to combine their scientific background with sales, playing a key role in driving the sales of cutting-edge genomics technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets by identifying opportunities and developing relationships with key decision-makers in research organizations, hospitals, and laboratories.
  • Build strong partnerships, understand customers' needs, and provide tailored solutions that help them succeed in their research and clinical work.
  • Become an expert in our genomics and molecular biology product portfolio, delivering presentations, demos, and technical support to clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement sales strategies that expand our presence in the market.
  • Attend conferences and events, networking with industry professionals to build brand awareness
About you

This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in a technical sales role in Molecular Biology. To be successful in this role, you will have the following :

  • A degree in molecular biology, genetics, or related fields, with hands-on experience in genomics, single-cell analysis, or spatial technology.
  • Experience in a genomics lab or core facility, ideally with next-generation sequencing.
  • Prior scientific sales experience is preferred, but sales training can be provided for the right person.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information for customers.
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in working with clients and growing the business.
  • A willingness to travel and meet customers across Sydney.
