Sandvik – Ground Support Australia is seeking a Technical Sales Representative based in Kalgoorlie or Perth to support customers across the region and grow our product range in the mining sector.

You will build strong partnerships with mine sites and technical teams, conduct on-site product testing, and provide expert guidance to ensure performance and safety across underground operations. This role rewards independence and a track record in industrial mining environments.

Qualifications

• Strong technical sales capability and a track record of building customer relationships in industrial or mining environments.
• Experience working with mine sites and technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Able to conduct on-site product testing and field demonstrations.
• Excellent communication skills and solid computer proficiency.
• Commitment to safety and site access requirements including inductions.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert technical advice to optimise product performance.
• Conduct on-site product testing including installation, pull and tension tests at underground mine sites.
• Monitor demand and inventory within the assigned territory to ensure efficient stock management.
• Identify new business opportunities and support regional sales and marketing initiatives.
• Prepare monthly activity, forecasting and competitor insight reports, with detailed site visit reporting.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and site entry requirements including mine medicals.

About the Role

Ideally based in Kalgoolie and reporting to the Accounts Manager – Metal West, the Technical Sales Representative, supports customers across the region and drives the growth of an industry‑leading product range. In this hands‑on, customer‑focused role, you’ll build strong partnerships with mine sites and technical teams, offering expert advice, conducting on‑site product testing, and ensuring our solutions deliver exceptional performance. You’ll be the trusted face of the business - identifying new opportunities, managing demand and inventory, monitoring market activity, and contributing to broader sales initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Build strong relationships with customers, providing expert technical advice and support to optimise product performance and satisfaction.
• Conduct regular onsite product testing including installation, pull and tension tests across multiple underground mine sites to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
• Monitor customer demand, stock levels and product usage, ensuring efficient inventory management within the assigned territory.
• Identify new business opportunities and support regional sales and marketing initiatives to drive growth.
• Prepare monthly activity, forecasting and competitor insight reports, along with detailed site visit reporting.
• Maintain full compliance with safety, environmental and site entry requirements, including ongoing mine medicals and inductions to work safely underground.

You bring strong technical sales capability, proven relationship‑building skills, and extensive experience working within industrial or underground mining environments. You will be highly self‑motivated, able to work independently, and confident in providing technical guidance, conducting product testing, and identifying growth opportunities.
