Job summary

Teoh Capital Pty is seeking a senior, highly technical product builder to own the journey from customer problem to product direction, prototype and shipped solution. You will report directly to the CEO and work daily with our engineers.

This is not a traditional Product Manager role. The ideal candidate will create end-to-end product visions, prototype quickly with AI and code, and collaborate across product, sales and support to drive rapid, data-informed improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product experience in high-volume SaaS.
• Track record of built or shipped products with named examples.
• Ability to code or prototype meaningful solutions.
• Experience building automated workflows across customer systems and product tooling.
• Comfort with technical discussions with CTOs and senior engineers.
• Direct customer conversations to identify problems and opportunities.

• Former developer or engineer turned product builder is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for a senior, highly technical product builder for one of our portfolio companies who can work directly with their customers, CEO, CTO, Product leadership and Engineering Leads. You will report directly to the CEO and work daily with our engineers. This is not a traditional Product Manager role and it is not an Engineering management role. You will own the journey from customer problem to product direction, prototype and shipped solution.

Your immediate focus will be:

1. 1. Bugs and support issues. Bias the roadmap and team capacity toward fixing what is hurting customers today, triaging ruthlessly and without bias.
2. 2. Churn. Understand why customers leave or are at risk, and drive the product changes that keep them.
3. 3. New sales requirements and customer commitments. Understand what the market is asking for, and make sure we follow through on commitments already made to customers.

You will also own the automated product intelligence loop across Support, Customer Success and Sales, turning customer signals into prioritised product decisions and a faster digital release process. What matters most is that you can understand complex problems, create a strong product vision, prototype quickly with AI and code, and work directly with Engineering to get exceptional solutions shipped.

This is a high-volume SaaS business, adding hundreds of new customers every month. Our product and engineering functions work closely together and we ship improvements every couple of weeks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Become a domain expert across our customers, workflows and operating problems
• Lead discovery around customer pain, friction and unmet needs, speaking regularly with existing customers and new logos
• Separate symptoms from the underlying problem
• Triage bugs and support issues ruthlessly and without bias, and bias the roadmap toward the fixes that matter most
• Address churn by understanding why customers leave and what would keep them
• Work with Sales and Customer Success on new sales requirements, and make sure commitments already made to customers are delivered
• Prioritise opportunities using customer impact, revenue, churn, onboarding, support burden and strategic importance
• Create clear end to end product visions, keeping a strategic view rather than delivering one-off point solutions
• Challenge weak feature requests and unnecessary complexity
• Build working prototypes using AI and modern coding tools
• Use prototypes to test assumptions before committing significant Engineering effort
• Work directly with engineers on scope, tradeoffs, solution design and delivery
• Help solve simple product issues directly where appropriate
• Drive solutions from problem through to production, shipping iteratively
• Work on key confidential product projects, taking on more scope as you prove yourself
• Own and continuously improve the automated customer signal and product prioritisation system
• Use AI extensively across research, analysis, ideation, prototyping, specification, testing and delivery

Skills & Experience

• Bring 7+ years of product experience in high-volume, B2B or B2C SaaS, serving hundreds of new customers a month rather than a small number of enterprise accounts
• Show a track record of products you have built or shipped, with named products you can walk us through
• Code well enough to build meaningful working prototypes
• Built or orchestrated automated workflows across customer systems and Product tooling, ideally with an example of an automated digital feedback pipeline (sales, customer success, support and in-product feedback feeding what gets built)
• Held technical discussions with CTOs, architects and senior engineers
• Spoken directly with customers to identify problems and provide solutions
• Make strong product decisions with incomplete information, with a strategic mindset
• Work effectively with senior engineers without becoming a coordination layer
• Ideally you are a former developer or engineer who now builds products. You may have previously been a technical lead, technical founder, software architect, principal engineer, founding engineer or senior engineering leader with strong product instincts.

How you will work with the team

The CTO owns Engineering strategy, architecture and technical standards. Engineering Leads own technical execution and delivery. Product leadership owns broader priorities and alignment. You will report directly to the CEO and work across all three, bringing deep customer understanding, product judgement, rapid prototyping, automated signal detection and technical problem solving to help the team move from customer pain to shipped solution faster. Your daily counterparts will be our engineers, and you will take input from Sales, Customer Success and Support. The product team is lean, with product and UX design colleagues, so this is a hands-on role with real influence.
