Qualifications

  • Trade or engineering background is essential.
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Korvest Galvanising processes structural steel & components for both internal and external customers. EzyStrut is the market leader in cable and pipe support systems throughout Australia.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Technical Officer / Tooling Supervisor is responsible for providing technical support for all equipment and tooling including outsourcing of new tools, major tooling changes, spares, preventative maintenance and associated documentation while overseeing a small team of toolmakers for in‑house sharpening and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Supervise and offer technical assistance to toolmakers
  • Manage technical documentation for plant, equipment and tooling including setup procedures, changeover procedures, operating procedures and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Identify and manage equipment and tooling spares as well as maintenance consumables
  • Coordinate outsourcing of new tooling and any major tooling changes
  • General administrative duties
You Will Bring
  • Trade or engineering background
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use Solidworks or 2D CAD
  • Sound knowledge of press tooling and roll forming
  • Understanding of safety and environment responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment where work is shared to achieve deadlines and respond to changing priorities
  • Time management skills with an ability to prioritize and handle several different tasks at the same time
  • Demonstrated communication skills
