Have you always wanted to work in a large tertiary hospital and have an interest in Anatomical Pathology? If so, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
Join a supportive and dedicated Anatomical Pathology team and play an important role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services that contribute to positive patient outcomes. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting and processing specimens, performing established diagnostic and technical procedures, preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, and undertaking embedding, microtomy, and a variety of staining techniques. You will also support the preparation of cytology specimens for analysis, including cell block preparation, and perform frozen sectioning of specimens for immunofluorescence analysis.
Working in a collaborative laboratory environment, you will assist with the preparation of reagents and laboratory materials, use and maintain histology equipment, monitor consumable stock levels, and undertake routine laboratory duties that support the smooth operation of the service.
