Job summary

SA Health in Adelaide is seeking a Technical Drafting Officer to shape the future of healthcare infrastructure on a full-time, 6-month contract. You will support the design of electrical installations and building projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet objectives.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Services leadership, the role involves creating concept designs, preparing scope documents, and updating historical records.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in CAD or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit BIM software.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and guidelines.
• Knowledge of Australian Health Facility Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and the Engineering Team with the design and layout of electrical installations on-site, ensuring integration and coordination with other disciplines during design and review meetings.
• Resolve technical and non-technical issues as they arise, consulting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project progression.
• Assist with the design of building projects, ensuring efficient integration and coordination with other disciplines during design and review meetings.
• Prepare concept designs and scope documents for new and existing facilities, exercising creativity and initiative in investigating, analysing, and conceptualizing possible options to meet design objectives.
• Update and alterations of historical documents including electronic conversions.

About the role

Reporting to the (Operationally) - Strategic Asset Manager (Professionally) - Manager, Infrastructure Services, some of your duties for the role will include:

• Assist Engineers and the Engineering Team with the design and layout of electrical installations on-site, ensuring integration and coordination with other disciplines during design and review meetings,
• Resolve technical and non-technical issues as they arise, consulting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project progression,
• Assist with the design of building projects, ensuring efficient integration and coordination with other disciplines during design and review meetings,
• Prepare concept designs and scope documents for new and existing facilities, exercising creativity and initiative in investigating, analysing, and conceptualizing possible options to meet design objectives,
• Update and alterations of historical documents including electronic conversions.

About you

• Relevant Diploma/Advanced Diploma or recognised qualification approved as being appropriate to the career group, or alternatively as being defined within the classification standards - Recognised qualification and demonstrated competency in CAD design and software use,
• Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications,
• Proficiency in CAD Software - Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit BIM software,
• Knowledge of engineering standards and guidelines,
• Knowledge of Australian Health Facility Guidelines.
