Job summary

Calleo in Brisbane is seeking a Technical Consultant – Cyber Security (SOC) to join a co-sourced SOC delivering incident response, threat detection and security monitoring for a 12-month contract. You will work with customer stakeholders and internal teams to support service delivery and continual improvement, focusing on phishing triage and threat hunting.

The role offers a collaborative culture and opportunities to grow in cyber defence within a national provider.

Qualifications

• Experience in SOC, cyber defence or IR required.
• Proficient with SIEM, SOAR, EDR and threat intel tools.
• Strong incident response and threat detection skills.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and remediate phishing threats.
• Conduct threat hunting and security monitoring.

About the company

About the role

You’ll join a managed Security Operations Centre engagement, delivering cyber defence services across incident response, threat detection, phishing triage and security monitoring. Working within a co-sourced SOC, you’ll partner with customer stakeholders and internal security teams to support service delivery and continuous improvement.

Duties

Skills & experience

• SOC, Cyber Defence or Incident Response experience
• Skilled in SIEM, SOAR, EDR & threat intel tools
• Strong incident response & threat detection know-how
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Security+, CySA+ or SC-200 highly regarded
