Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of technical writers and illustrators to deliver:
Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs)
  • Operator & Maintenance Manuals
  • Illustrated Parts Catalogues
  • Manufacturing Process Instructions
  • Ensure compliance with ASD S1000D standards using the R4i Suite and associated publishing tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and methods for technical communications.
  • Assign tasks based on workload and expertise, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain technical data records, files, and archives.
  • Develop innovative strategies for authoring and distributing publications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams locally and internationally, as well as Project and ILS Managers, to meet requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Communications Team Lead (TCTL) to lead our Technical Communications team, which includes technical writers and illustrators. Reporting to the Product Support Manager, you will oversee the development and delivery of high-quality technical publications and related data for cutting-edge Defence projects.
