Job summary

DUAL Australia is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology for WebRater across ANZ. You’ll collaborate with developers to shape features, translate requirements, and resolve defects, ensuring solutions are built right the first time.

You’ll bring hands-on experience with Angular, C#/.NET, ADF, SQL and Azure, with a background in insurance or underwriting. A curious, detail-driven mindset will help you thrive in a technical environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical BA / Systems Analyst (not process-focused).
• Background in insurance, insurance broking or an underwriting agency.
• Hands-on work with Angular, C#/.NET, ADF, SQL and Azure including app insights.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with BAs to shape and refine new features and enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Investigate defects and incidents using system data and tooling.
• Work with developers to troubleshoot and validate solutions.
• Analyse integrations, data flows and platform performance to identify improvements.
• Support delivery from design and build through to release.
• Help lift the technical capability of fellow BAs.

This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, perfect for someone who enjoys getting hands‑on with systems, solving complex problems and working closely with developers to deliver impactful solutions.

You’ll investigate issues, shape enhancements and translate business needs into clear technical requirements so solutions are understood, feasible and built right the first time.

What You’ll Be Doing

About YouYou’re a curious, detail-driven Technical Business Analyst who enjoys digging into how systems work and solving complex problems.

You’re confident working with developers, comfortable in technical environments and skilled at turning complexity into clarity, ideally having started your career as a software engineer.

You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as a Technical BA / Systems Analyst (not process-focused)
• Background in insurance, insurance broking or an underwriting agency
• Hands‑on work with Angular, C#/.NET, ADF, SQL and Azure including app insights
• Ability to translate between business needs and technical implementation
• Strong communication and written skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
