QIC Ventures, part of QIC Private Equity, backs technology companies from Queensland and beyond. We’re seeking an Analyst who wants to understand how the world is changing, partner with ambitious founders and assess opportunities before they are obvious.

You’ll conduct market research, investment analysis, due diligence and portfolio support across a global platform, working in a collaborative, growth‑minded team in Brisbane.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in venture capital or related fields.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including financial modelling, market research, investment analysis and commercial assessment.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and push work forward when there is no playbook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep curiosity for technology and founders, with a habit of going beyond surface-level research.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Learning velocity, coachability and resilience; comfortable taking feedback and maintaining high output.
• Collaborative, low-ego mindset and ability to build strong relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with practical AI tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Support investment opportunities through sourcing, market analysis, commercial diligence and financial assessment.
• Contribute to research on markets, technologies, companies and investment themes.
• Prepare and contribute to Investment Committee materials, including theses and risk assessments.
• Participate in meetings with founders, investors and portfolio companies, capturing insights and driving follow-up analysis.
• Support portfolio monitoring and value creation initiatives across a range of ventures.
• Contribute to operating rhythm, reporting, portfolio reviews and internal materials.
