About the Opportunity

The Town of Cottesloe is a values‑driven organisation.

We are seeking to appoint a capable person to join the Horticulture team to maintain our beautiful surrounds.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy manual tasks, can take direction, and want to contribute to the outcomes of a great team.

The Team Member - Horticulture will provide a high standard of horticultural maintenance in designated parks and gardens and other prominent locations within the Town of Cottesloe.

Key duties
  • Tree pruning, planting and weed control;
  • Whipper‑snipping and mowing;
  • Mulching, hedging and other general gardening duties;
  • Drainage maintenance;
  • Litter control and miscellaneous tasks.
  • Ensuring equipment and vehicles are clean and serviceable at all times.

About you

Essential
  • Demonstrated experience in horticultural maintenance and / or general labouring activities;
  • Well‑developed initiative and problem‑solving skills;
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for self and others;
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • High level of attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
  • Current Australian Working Rights;
  • Current "MR" Class Driver's Licence, minimum;
  • High risk work licence, for EWP (or willingness to obtain);
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain);
  • Chainsaw certification (or willingness to obtain);
  • Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain);
  • Willingness to undergo a Pre‑Employment Medical (as required).
