Overview

Kids First has a 125-year legacy of safeguarding children. As Team Leader Youth Services you will join the Victorian leadership team to deliver high‑quality, community‑based services for young people experiencing homelessness or community disconnection.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of up to 10 youth practitioners across multiple sites, providing supervision, training and fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Ensure adherence to practice standards, manage client feedback and maintain compliance with Kids First policies and funding requirements.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organisations and philanthropic partners, to strengthen community impact.
  • Manage program budgets, identify funding opportunities and contribute to ongoing risk management and quality improvements.
Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Community Development or Management.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience within youth or community services.
  • Strong commitment to professional development for each team member.
  • Deep understanding of issues facing young people, including family violence and homelessness.
