Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to lead a team of maintenance professionals and ensure statutory, preventative and corrective facility maintenance across our aged care facilities. You will manage external contractors, allocate resources, and uphold health and safety standards.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Engineering, experience leading teams, and strong knowledge of OHS requirements.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of maintenance professionals and managing the delivery of statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance to the facilities. You will manage relationship with external contractors for specialised services and handle resource allocation. You will conduct regular inspection, enforce health and safety protocols and ensure work meet all relevant legislative requirements and standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Leads and manages the maintenance team, ensures efficient work allocation, scheduling execution of tasks to deliver statutory, preventative & corrective facility maintenance.
• Oversees the maintenance of cleanliness, functionality and orderly presentation of gardens and common areas across Bolton Clarke Aged Care Facility or Retirement Village.
• Conducts regular inspections to oversee the maintenance delivery according to relevant legislative codes and standards such as aged care workplace health and safety, manual handling and environmental management principles.
• Ensures efficient and cost-effective procurement practices, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and managing invoice processing to optimise resource allocation.

About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

• Moderate experience as a Maintenance Officer and experience leading a team is preferred.
• Certificate IV in Engineering is prescribed.
• First Aid Certificate is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health principles, Construction Practices and Legal and Regulatory requirements are preferred.
• Proficient in Knowledge of Occupational, Health and Safety Procedures (OHS), Maintenance Equipment Management, Records Management and Materials Management skills.
• Excellent Communication, Operational Effectiveness, Problem Solving and Planning and Prioritisation skills.
