Job summary

Calvary Health Care in Wendouree, VIC, seeks a Team Leader to supervise resident care alongside the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse, coordinating services across the home with respect for each resident’s goals.

Casual shifts are available with flexible rosters. Endorsed Enrolled Nurses are eligible to apply, with opportunities to grow within a mission-based healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Enrolled Nursing with AHPRA Registration to administer medication is required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
• Ability to coordinate care and supervise staff on shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to residents ensuring holistic, person-centred care.
• Coordinate care needs across the home including medication management, nutrition and hydration, and pressure care management.
• Lead and supervise care on the shift within the assigned wing or area.

About The Role

The Team Leader plays an integral role in the provision of high-quality care to our residents at all times. The Team Leader supports the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate care to the residents across the home whilst actively ensuring the individual needs, wishes and goals of each resident is met within an environment where they feel supported, valued and treated with dignity and respect. This is an excellent opportunity for to take the next step in your career. This position is open to Endorsed Enrolled Nurses. Casual shifts available with flexible roster!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to all residents ensuring that care provision is holistic and person centred.


• Support the coordination of the care needs of residents across the home including medication management, nutrition and hydration, pressure care management


• Lead/supervise care on the shift, within their designated wing or area.


• Perform medicine related tasks in accordance with scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation and Calvary policies, procedures for delegation and supervision.

• An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing

• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
