About the Role

This full-time hands-on leadership position will see you working within our City of Perth team. Lead your team of garden maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and exceed our clients’ expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their skills and safety practices
  • Undertake hands on work including mowing, pruning, hedge trimming, weeding, mulching, planting, and general garden care.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within set timeframes.
  • Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles safely
  • Report progress, issues, and requirements to management
  • Pest and disease identification and treatment
  • Maintaining high horticultural standards and attention to detail
What you’ll need:
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens, or relevant equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise work and develop junior team members
  • Sound practical experience with a variety of tools and equipment such as mowers, hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools and petrol operated equipment
  • Current driver's licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
