About the Role

Are you ready to lead innovation and drive operational excellence in Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials? WSP’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team is seeking expressions of interest from experienced leaders who are passionate about safety, technical excellence, and building high-performing teams.

As Team Executive, you will play a key leadership role, responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and safety culture of our Occupational Hygiene, Hazardous Materials, and Laboratory practice streams at a national level. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, foster innovation, and ensure the delivery of safe, profitable, and high-quality services aligned with WSP’s organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and foster a positive safety culture, prioritising team well-being.
  • Ensure staff are trained and deliver safe, profitable work.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies and scalable practices.
  • Prepare proposals and manage projects to achieve strategic goals.
  • Empower leaders and senior team members to build a high-performance, diverse, and entrepreneurial culture.
  • Develop new markets and service lines, driving business expansion.
  • Champion a client-first mindset and deliver exceptional service.
  • Mentor, coach, and support professional development across the team.
  • Enhance business development capabilities and contribute to market action plans.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively manage feedback.
About You

You are a recognised expert in Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials, known for building strong client partnerships and leading national teams. You excel at identifying new opportunities, driving commercial success, and delivering technical excellence. With strong financial acumen and a commitment to integrity, safety, and sustainability, you align with WSP’s values and future-focused vision.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials.
  • Proven leadership of high-performing teams, including virtual/remote staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and secure new business.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills.
  • Experience in budget management, change leadership, and technical mentoring.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and a passion for continuous improvement.
