Job summary

Urana Public School in regional NSW seeks a Teaching Principal Level TP1 to lead as a strong educational leader and community partner. You will balance classroom instruction with complex administrative duties while guiding curriculum delivery across the Narrandera network.

The role demands proactive, visible leadership, collaborative culture, and a commitment to equity and high-quality literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students. A full approval to teach is required.

Qualifications

• High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education.
• Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs.
• High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
• Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning.
• Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning.
• Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

• Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire, and support staff with strong interpersonal and communication skills, balancing classroom teaching and complex administrative responsibilities as a teaching principal, while leading and fostering a culture of strong collaboration in curriculum delivery.
• Demonstrated capacity to be a proactive, approachable and visible leader with a commitment to promoting the school profile and building authentic connections with parents, carers, and the wider community to strengthen a culture of productive partnerships in education.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-trust school culture, using authentic student voice to inform decision-making, strengthening staff collective responsibility for equity to support student wellbeing.
• Proven capacity to lead with an evaluative mindset and a focus on evidence informed practices to improve the learning of all students and build the capability of all staff at Urana Public School and the surrounding small schools and in the Narrandera Network.
