Job summary

Kojonup District High School in Western Australia is seeking a Primary Physical Education Teacher for a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2027. This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2027

Note:

The Role

KDHS is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Primary Physical Education Teacher. The successful applicant will ideally possess a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education and be passionate about promoting physical activity, health, wellbeing, and lifelong participation in sport and recreation. They should be skilled in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate programs that cater for students with a diverse range of abilities, interests, and backgrounds. We are seeking an educator who believes that every student can achieve success in physical education and who understands the important role that movement, teamwork, resilience, and positive relationships play in children's development. The successful applicant should have highly effective teaching practices, strong classroom and behaviour management skills, and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and active learning environment where all students are encouraged to participate and challenge themselves. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing improvement journey of Kojonup District High School as we move into the next phase of our Strategic Plan. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to develop confidence, perseverance, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude towards health and physical activity. The successful applicant will ideally be an active and flexible team member with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. They would work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and contribute positively to school events, sporting carnivals, interschool competitions, and extracurricular opportunities.
