Job summary

St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School in Port Hedland invites passionate educators to join a faith-centered teaching team. The role is full-time and supports the development of young learners within a welcoming school community overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Qualifications

• Be supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
• Demonstrate the ability to build trusting and authentic relationships with staff, students and parents, and the wider community.
• Have a sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework and Religious Education Curriculum.
• Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and data effectively to plan and implement engaging teaching and differentiated learning experiences.
• Be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Have sound IT skills and the confidence to integrate technology effectively.
• Possess strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Be a practicing Catholic (advantageous for teaching Religious Education).

Responsibilities

• Teach primary and/or early childhood students in a single-stream Catholic primary setting.
• Create engaging lessons aligned with WA Curriculum and Early Years Learning Framework.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage with families to support student development.
• Foster a faith-filled, respectful and inclusive classroom culture.

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher ready to inspire young learners? St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School is seeking full-time teachers to join our team of committed educators.

Founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1942, St Cecilia’s is a single-stream, co-educational Catholic Primary School in Port Hedland overlooking the Indian Ocean, with over 190 students. Our warm, welcoming community provides a secure environment for the spiritual, moral, social, emotional and intellectual growth of every child.
