Job description

Krambach Public School has an enrolment of 52 students including 7 Aboriginal students and 9 who speak English as a second language. It is located on the mid north coast of NSW on Worimi/Biripi Country and is a focal point of the small rural community it has served since 1880. The school embraces its history yet focuses on modern, research‑based curriculum delivery.

Our spacious learning environment boasts large classrooms with modern furniture which provide ample space for teaching and learning. To complement the amazing indoor spaces, the students enjoy outdoor facilities such as a covered playground, a veggie patch, chicken coop, a covered basketball court, a sensory garden and sandpit, and ample outdoor playground space for students to run around.

The small class sizes allow our expert, dedicated teachers to differentiate and customise learning for each individual student. Students are continuing to develop growth mindsets and the ability to be feedback receptive learners in order to make academic progress.

Extra‑curricular opportunities in visual art, performing arts and sport, enable our students to succeed through a range of different experiences.

The school is strongly supported by a hard working Parents & Citizens association (P&C). They value education and educational experiences and have a strong focus of fundraising to ensure the cost of excursions and incursions are brought down.

Specific Selection Criteria

• Approval to teach infants and primary. Demonstrated experience working in small, multi‑stage schools, with proven ability to design, implement and lead high‑quality curriculum and teaching programs aligned with the latest NSW syllabuses and school priorities.

• Expertise in delivering differentiated, explicit teaching programs and utilising evidence‑informed practices and student data to improve student outcomes in diverse and multi‑grade classroom settings, including demonstrated capacity for high expectations and effective classroom and behaviour management.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive, respectful partnerships with colleagues, students, families, and the wider community.

• Proven capacity to confidently step into a variety of roles as needed, contributing to the effective operation of a small school, together with sound knowledge of and ability to implement NSW Department of Education policies, procedures, and curriculum requirements across all school activities.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
