Job description

As a member of our school community, you will be a conscientious, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to the development of the whole student and to creating positive futures for every child.

Key responsibilities
  • You will ideally be highly reflective of your teaching practice, committed to evidence-based decision making and confident in differentiating the Western Australian Curriculum to meet the diverse academic, social and emotional needs of K-6 students.
  • Teachers are expected to know their students well and use evidence, assessment and professional judgement to inform their practice and respond to individual learning needs.
What you need
  • With over 90% of our student population and 50% of staff being of Aboriginal heritage, an understanding of the educational and social challenges of a remote setting and being able to work in a culturally responsive manner are essential to this role.
  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
