Mel Maria Catholic Primary School is a distinctive dual-campus school offering an innovative educational model within Catholic Education Western Australia. Our Myaree Campus is dedicated exclusively to Early Childhood Education (Pre-Kindergarten to Year Two), while our Attadale Campus caters to students from Year Three to Year Six. The Successful Applicant Will Have

• Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework and evidence-based practices and can apply this knowledge to challenge and engage learners in the Early Years.
• Display highly proficient communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with peers, students and families.
• Be dedicated to the advancement of each student’s holistic development and committed to providing the highest standard of care and education.
• Possess excellent classroom management and organizational skills to create a supportive and safe learning environment.
• Demonstrate an excellent understanding of various assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.
• An ability to authentically nurture positive and respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
• Display a capacity and willingness to be a proactive member of a professional learning community and work collaboratively with all staff.

Qualifications Required

• Relevant four-year tertiary qualification or Early Childhood qualification.
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or willing to work towards)
• Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available from the TRBWA website
• On appointment successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check. Application forms are available at certain Australia Post Outlets throughout the State. A list of participating Australia Post outlets can be found on the Australia Post website
• A valid National Police Criminal History Check
