We are committed to providing the best possible education for the students of our community and are charged with preparing our students for a diverse range of futures. Exmouth is a coastal community situated in the remote northwest of Western Australia. Located about 1250km north of Perth, 850km north of the large regional city of Geraldton and 550km southwest of the Pilbara mining operations in Karratha, we are surrounded by Cape Range National Park and are the gateway to the unique Ningaloo Reef, recently listed as a World Heritage site. There is a permanent population of approximately 3,500 people which swells to thousands more during peak tourist periods. Due to the number of tourists visiting Exmouth the town has many amenities which would not normally be expected in a town of its size. The Role

Exmouth DHS is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated teacher to join our secondary team in a combined Design and Technology and Science (Years 7–10) role. The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to teach a range of Design and Technology courses across lower and senior secondary levels, including vocational pathways and practical learning experiences. They would also deliver an engaging, differentiated and contemporary Science curriculum for Years 7–10, fostering curiosity, inquiry and a strong understanding of scientific concepts. As part of this role, the successful applicant will ideally contribute to our growing STEAM program, providing innovative and future-focused learning experiences that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Through hands-on, real-world learning opportunities, they would inspire students to develop creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the successful applicant would also contribute to our highly successful robotics program and the continued development of future Years 11 and 12 Science and Design and Technology pathways. While this is a secondary position, the opportunity to contribute across our K–12 school, including teaching in primary, is highly desirable. We value staff who see the opportunities of a K–12 setting and are willing to contribute to the broader school. We are seeking a student-centred educator committed to high impact, explicit teaching and continuous improvement. The successful applicant should embrace the school's BEACON Instructional Model and actively engage in coaching, feedback and collaborative professional learning. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled, motivated and committed to continually improving their practice and supporting colleagues to improve outcomes for students. The successful applicant should dispaly strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will ideally help build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues and contribute positively to a collaborative school culture where every student is supported to achieve their potential and develop pathways for future success.
