Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Queensland teacher registration.
• Experience teaching across primary and secondary levels preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small-school environment.
• Open to sharing a specialist teaching area or passion as appropriate.
• Part-time role: 2-3 days per week starting Term 4 2026.

Part-time Teacher - Primary and Secondary

Mawarra Independent School is seeking a passionate and flexible teacher to join our team on a part-time basis.

We are looking for someone who:

• can teach and support students across both primary and secondary year levels
• values strong relationships and individualised learning
• enjoys working collaboratively in a small-school environment
• is adaptable, creative and willing to give things a go
• may bring a specialist teaching area or particular passion they would like to share with our students.

Specialist areas could include, but are not limited to, The Arts, Technologies, HPE, Science, Humanities, Languages or learning support. However, a specialist area is not essential - we are most interested in finding the right person for our school community.

The successful applicant will hold, or be eligible to hold, current Queensland teacher registration and the appropriate qualifications.

Position: Part-time, 2-3 days per week
Commencement: Term 4 2026, with a possibility of extending into 2027
Location: Mawarra Independent School, Kybong - just a short drive from the Sunshine Coast!
