Job summary

GWM Australia & New Zealand is seeking an experienced Taxation & Treasury Manager to lead tax compliance, governance, and treasury operations across ANZ. You will shape the framework, manage liquidity, and partner with banks and HO to strengthen treasury position.

This newly created role offers leadership of a growing team, exposure to strategic finance initiatives, and a path to drive continuous improvement as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience in taxation, treasury, financial control or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand taxation requirements, compliance frameworks and governance practices.
• Experience managing treasury functions, cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership with coaching and mentoring.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead taxation compliance across Australia and New Zealand for GST/BAS, FBT, income tax and related taxes.
• Prepare and support transfer pricing, withholding tax, Country by Country reporting and Pillar Two filings.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners and external tax advisers.
• Monitor FX exposures and treasury risks; develop policies and governance frameworks.
• Organise external audits and tax reviews; support regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic tax and treasury advice to leadership; lead treasury reporting and scenario modelling.
