Are you a driven Tax Analyst seeking to step into a high-performing corporate tax team within the banking sector? Our client, a major Australian financial institution, is looking for a motivated and technically strong tax professional to join their Group Tax function.

This role is perfect for a Chartered Accountant (Big 4 or mid-tier) seeking their first move into industry, or an early-career tax professional wanting to broaden their exposure to corporate tax advisory, compliance, and stakeholder engagement across a sophisticated banking environment.

About the Role
  • Support the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns and tax effect accounting calculations.
  • Assist in managing tax reporting obligations across the Group.
  • Work closely with senior tax leaders on advisory matters, including transactions, restructuring, and tax risk management.
  • Partner with finance, treasury, legal, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax outcomes.
  • Contribute to process improvement and strengthening of internal tax governance.
About You
  • CA qualified or near completion (Big 4 or mid-tier chartered experience highly regarded).
  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate tax or business services with strong tax exposure.
  • Strong technical grounding in Australian tax legislation and tax accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment.
